How Often Should You Be Taking an Ice Bath?

This really depends on you.

 

If you’re using ice baths for recovery after high intensity training such as running or field sports, you may want to take an ice bath after every session. 

 

If you’re using ice baths to treat chronic illness or mental health, you may want to take one every day - we would recommend doing this in the morning to start your day right. 

 

If you’re taking ice baths alongside weight training for muscle gain, you may want to limit to once or twice per week. 

 

For most, one or two times in a week is achievable alongside a daily cold shower. 

 

Remember, there’s no need to put pressure on yourself - once every so often is definitely better than not at all!
