When to Take Caution in an Ice Bath

Poor blood flow could mean extra caution when taking an ice bath.
Heart conditions, obesity and diabetes could result in decreased blood flow, so we recommend seeking out medical advice if you would like to begin cold plunging.
As you immerse yourself in icy water, your blood vessels constrict and reduce flow around your body. For someone that already has poor circulation, this could pose a potential risk.
As always, we recommend for first timers that you start off by taking things slow. Keeping to less ice and short bursts in the ice bath.
